Another fitness/health tip that my great husband provided me and I will share with all of you!!!
Plan for healthy snacks throughout the day!
How many times have you gotten hungry and didn't pack a healthy snack option? It happens to people all the time and they go for the quick fix bag of chips, candy bar, pop, fast food, etc.
By planning ahead and packing healthy snacks with you each day it will help you avoid the temptation. Try packing almonds, fruit, Greek yogurt, veggies, etc.

I am a very picky eater and have a hard time finding things I like. Some things that I pack for snacks are:
Oatmeal
Fruit
Celery and/or carrots
Almonds
Cottage cheese
String cheese
Boiled egg
By packing healthy snacks, this will give you a boost of energy, save you money and help you avoid those unnecessary high calorie quick fix items!
This is probably my biggest weakness in eating healthy. I'm quick to grab something fast and super unhealthy. I also crave salt big time. I've been on an almond kick lately. I know they are healthy in moderation. Now if only I can keep myself from over indulging. ;)
ReplyDeleteThis info seems so obvious, but it's surprising how many people {including myself} will choose unhealthy snacks over the healthy ones!! Planning ahead is the KEY...I need to be better at that.
ReplyDeleteLately I have been so many almonds, it's my go to snack to bring to school with me. Yum :)
ReplyDeleteBut Bridget... nuts don't taste as good as this Milky Way ;)
ReplyDeleteI need to be better about eating better.
I'm pretty good about packing healthy snacks, where I fail is the fact that I will eat 835974855849 of them per day....probably defeats the purpose. haha!
ReplyDeletei am such a bad snacker, it's embarrassing!
