Dog Ticks and The Bachelorette

It's a good thing I DVR this show because I had started watching late. I was out on a run with Mya and noticed a patch of fur that looked funny on her. I bent down and looked and saw a tick starting to burrow into her skin. I freaked out of course and headed straight home. I was so tempted to stop at so many of my neighbors to ask them to get it off her since Tate was till at work.

I didn't end up stopping @ any neighbors but I did call Tate immediately. I started getting extreme anxiety thinking that this tick was going to kill my lil' baby! Tate said he was on his way home and was only about 15 minutes away. I then researched online what exactly we should to remove it.

I got out the tweezers, rubbing alcohol and triple antibiotic ointment. We also filled Mya's kong full of peanut to keep her busy while we removed the tick. Tate removed the tick...head and all with the tweezers and then put it in some rubbing alcohol. We then applied triple antibiotic ointment to the huge massive bump that was left behind. After leaving the tick in alochol for awhile, we then burned it to make sure it actually died.

Of course I freaked at first thinking my baby girl was going to die. Good thing...right now, she's ok. Hoping that the area doesn't get infected.

Now onto the real reason of this post...my thoughts on The Bachelorette!

Ryan got the first one on one date and I was so excited! I really like Ryan. I have this feeling that he will be in the final 3, but will not come away with Emily's heart.

There date consisted of doing Emily's everyday things. Helping with groceries and making snacks for her daughters soccer team. It was super cute. He of course was originally thinking they were going to go on some extravagant date. I was happy that Emily's first date was something elaborate because that is not what everyday life is going to be like with her. I think she is truly trying to find the 'right one' and doing it the right way.

Her next date was a group date and it had to do with raising money for one of Emily's favorite charities and The Muppets. The guys had to perform different skits. My heart went out for Charlie.

Charlie was in an accident and suffers still to this day from it. He suffered a traumatic brain injury and one thing that it affected was his speech. He was nervous about performing and is very insecure about it. He stepped aside and spoke to Emily about this and she was very understanding.

The last one on one date was with Joe.

Emily said she was really excited for this date. She said she thought he looked like Matthew McConaughey...which I thought was crazy. Then I saw him again on the screen and looked up a pic of Matthew...and she was right, they do look somewhat alike. Joe is like a 'smaller and shorter' version of Matthew.

They had a fancy date in West Virgina. I thought the whole date was awkward and that Emily wasn't 'feeling' it. She wasn't. She ended up sending him home during the date. I felt bad for her because he had no idea. She felt bad 'breaking up' with him.

Then it was time for cocktail hour. As always, it gets awkward when everyone tries to get one on one time with her. Some of them try way to hard and some don't try at all (or at least they don't show them trying).

In the end, she picked 16 guys to stay. The villan stayed to cause more drama for the show and everyone whom I like or think are frontrunners, are still there. The guys that went home, I wasn't surprised.

Now we have to wait another week to see what else happens on The Bachelorette and I need to go get tick repelent for Mya!!!

PS..I have been featured again over @ Better After...go check it out HERE!!!
