Bathroom #2 remodel has begun

Our downstairs bathroom is the only room in our house that had not been touched since we bought our house 3 years ago. The only time it is used is when we have guest so we were not always reminded how it needed to be updated.

View from the door. Still gold everything.

Gold mirror will be painted. All wood in bathroom is knotty pine.

The vanity and tile floor. All the wood and floor will be kept as is.
Paint swatches that we picked up. Going for a blue/gray color. We thought we picked one out, then I picked up some more swatches from another store. Decisions decisions...

We have removed all the wallpaper which was NOT FUN! I plan to do a tutorial soon on how to remove wallpaper. I think it would be very helpful for anyone out there planning to remove it and to share some things I found helpful.

Wallpaper removed
(lamp is our light since we removed all the fixtures)

This was the first strip that we did and learned many things from it. So next on our list is to fix this problem area from ripping too much of the wall off. Learning experience! Glad this was the ONLY area that this happened to.

So that is where we sit. Wallpaper removed and next up is to fix the holes/problem areas.

Our plans for this bathroom are:
- remove wallpaper
- fill holes/problem areas
- paint walls
- change all gold to a bronzed brown
- new counter/sink
- paint mirror frame
- decorate

I'm glad we decided to do this bathroom first because it's the smallest remodel project in our house. We are very excited to see how this project turns out!
