MN Wedding Vendor Reviews

Through the whole wedding planning process, I used a very helpful website to find my vendors and used other brides reviews to choose which one I would like to work with. Since I found that so helpful, I thought I would do the same for new brides. Here are my FABULOUS vendors and review on each of them.
I will link all the vendors with their websites. If there is no website...email me for their contact information.

Ceremony Location: Nazareth Chapel on Northwestern College Campus - Grade: A+
- This chapel is GORGEOUS. I found it through a co-worker whose son got married at the chapel last year. The chapel event coordinators were so helpful and great at answering questions. They were so helpful during the planning process and even better during the rehearsal and the day of. Everything ran so smoothly and everyone commented on how great it was.

Reception: Oak Marsh Golf Course - Grade: A+
- This was the easiest vendor to pick because I have worked at the golf course for the past 3 seasons. Even though I worked there...they still treated me like I was just a bride and were really on top of things. The food was AMAZING and the decorations were FABULOUS!! We received so many compliments on how the staff was great, the food tasted so good and how elegant everything looked. I don't have any pictures back yet of our reception...but their website has many to look at.

Photographer: Kimberly Williams Photography - Grade: A+
- We haven't received our 'final' photos but I am not worried at all about them. Our engagement photos were really good and what I have seen so far of our wedding photos, I really like. She is so down to earth and fun to work with. I can not say enough great things about Kim and highly highly highly recommend her. Here is a link to a preview she posted of our engagement photos. Here is one of our wedding photos that I recently received. I am so excited to get the rest of them :)

Videographer: Highlights Videography - Grade: A+ (pending video)
- Brady is very professional and fun to work with. I've seen some of his work and I think he does a great job. I like that he gives me all raw footage plus a 'highlight' video of the day. I am beyond excited to get this video.

Ceremony Musician: Angela Bobick - Grade: A+
- Angela was one of my first vendors I booked. I for sure wanted a ceremony musician that could sing and play the piano and guitar. Well Angela fit all those...and she sounded amazing!!

DJ: Midwest Sound - Grade A
- We had Mike as our DJ. He listened to everything that we wanted and did everything we had asked of him. He was always on point and listened to our music selection. He always kept the music going. I would def recommend Midwest Sound for your event.

Day of Coordinator: Bumblebee Personal Assistants - Grade: A+++++++
- Words can't even describe on happy I was that I made room in my budget for Mary. She went above and beyond of what I wanted. I could not have asked for anybody better to run the show at my reception. She was on point, did everything the way I wanted, was very professional and kept everybody on time with my schedule. She even went to the hotel to get a new dress for our best man's girlfriend because he had accidentally spilt a whole glass of red wine all over her. I didn't find this out until the next day and I was speechless. She didn't have to do this for them...but she did. I am honored to know such a great business woman and I feel blessed that she was a part of our special day.

Transportation: Minnesota Coaches - Grade: A+
- We used MN Coaches for bridal party transportation to photos and for them after the ceremony to the reception. Cheryl was great to work with for organizing everything. Always responded to my emails in a very timely manner. There prices were great also. Our bus driver was so fun and did everything we had asked.

Flowers: Simply Stated Elegance - Grade: B+
- Our flower were gorgeous. Everything that I wanted. The reason she doesn't get an A is because Jeni is just not the greatest at communication. It sometimes took me 3 emails to her to get a response. Her work was amazing though. We did have a little bit of a hiccup the day of the wedding because her dad had a stroke...but she scheduled to have the flowers dropped off by her husband. I am glad everything was still so beautiful even though she was going through a touch time. Her prices are also amazing!!!!

Cake: Queen of Cakes - Grade: A+
- We decided to have cupcakes, cake balls and bars for our wedding reception. They were all a hit. I enjoyed working with QOC. It also was nice that I got a discount since my DOC was Mary...BONUS!!!

Hair: Shears to You salon - Grade: A+
- I originally had hired S&C for my hair and makeup services but canceled on them when I continuously had problems. Shear to You is where I get my hair done. It is a very small shop in Stillwater. I hired them to come to my house to do hair and I am so pleased that I did. Alysia did my hair and it was so awesome. Everyone kept asking if I had extensions or hair pieces because she made it look like I had so much hair (I have super thin hair). She did amazing and the other 2 girls did a great job on the BM as well.

Makeup: Makeup by Leah T - Grade: A+++
- 2 words...beautiful & flawless! She's been doing makeup for years for friends weddings, night out, etc and  just started her own business of doing makeup on the side as something fun to do that she enjoys. I am so happy I hired her. She made myself and my BM looks just fabulous. She did everything that I had wanted. She is very professional and fun to have around. I would definitely recommend Leah to anybody and everybody needing makeup services done.

Alterations: Louise Kegley - Grade: A-
- I loved everything about Louise and it kills me not to give her an A+. Everything about my dress was perfect. She converted it from a size 10 to about a 4, put in the sweetheart cut, put in cups, bustle, etc...all for a very reasonable price...but my bustle fell out within 30 min at the reception. The threads she used busted and could not be 're-tied'. I made do by holding my train the rest of the night...but it was def annoying. I still would definitely recommend her work...she is great and makes you feel awesome!!!

Bridesmaid Dresses: The Wedding Shoppe - Grade: A-
- Great prices, great selection...easy decision. I had a good idea of what I wanted. Took all my ladies in to try it on...they all loved it. They got measured and paid for them. Had them shipped to my house...worked really well. Only complaint from all the ladies was they were too big...everyone had to get major alterations.

My Dress: 299 Sale - Grade: A
- Happens once a year. I went with my mom, sister and a friend. My friend found her dress the year before. I got tickets to go the night before off the radio so I could get first dibs. So glad I did. Found my dress...got a great deal...overall, great experience.

If I missed a vendor...I'll come back and add them in. Otherwise I hope you all found this helpful. Email me or leave a comment with any questions. Thanks.

XOXO,
