Baby W this week…
-brain is growing quickly and taste buds are continuing to develop
-lungs are growing 'branches' of the respiratory 'tree'

Size of the baby?
Baby is the size of a cantaloupe...WOW, he's getting big!
My doctor measured my belly this week...I am measuring @ 26 weeks. She is not worried since I am within 3cm of the 24 week measurement. She said I am someone with a small torso, so she is not surprised. I would rather be measuring big then small if I had to choose. At least I know he's in there growing and getting big :)

Total Weight Gain/Loss?
Well I just had my 24 week appointment...I have a gained a total of 15lbs and my doctor is super happy with that! If my doctor is happy, I feel great and baby is good...then 15lbs don't mean anything but a number!
Maternity Clothes?
I am good on buying things for these colder months for now. I purchased a pair of skinny jeans from Gap for about $18 that I am pretty happy with. I look forward to spring arriving and I can wear dresses!
Stretch Marks?
None..zero...zippo...nada
Best Moments?
This is a 'best moment' in my book...because I love love love saving money! Target had a big sale a few weeks ago on baby stuff. Well the breast pump I wanted was on sale so I snatched it up because I didn't want to not get it on sale. Well after calling my insurance and learning that they will cover an ELECTRIC breast pump 100% as long as my physician prescribed it I was excited. So I talked to my doctor about it and she will prescribe me one while I am @ the hospital and have it brought to me and everything. The best part...it's the same pump I bought and wanted. I am BEYOND excited to be saving over $200 on this item!
Movement?
He is moving around like crazy! I love it. Tate finally saw it when I lifted up my shirt. I wouldn't expect anything less from the lil' guy on the movement since his mama is always moving and can not sit still! :)
Food Cravings?
Oh the norm...mac & cheese, milk and anything that is salty
Anything making you queasy or sick?
When I cooked Tate's pot roast last weekend...all the fat that came off it made me want to hurl all over it! So gross!!!
What I miss?
How about what I won't miss...people staring at me. The place I get it the most is @ the gym. Not sure if they can believe a pregnant woman is working out...but it's really awkward and I can't imagine what it will be like the farther along I get.

The back aches have started a bit.
Labor Signs?
Still too early for this!
Gender?
Belly Button In or Out?
It's bustin' out!
It's bustin' out!
Wedding Rings On or Off?
So on...
Sleep?
Great. Still no interruptions! Feeling very lucky!

What I am looking forward to?
Tate is almost done with coaching...and I am really excited about that. Even though I will still be working long hours for tax season, I am excited for him to be around to get stuff done that I can't! Many house projects we would like to get finished before the lil' guy arrives!
As always, you look fabulous. And so happy that you are feeling great and have the energy you need to pull through these last weeks of pregnancy! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is so awesome about getting the breast pump paid for by insurance!!
ReplyDeleteYou look great :)
You look great, so happy to hear you're feeling good!
ReplyDeleteNice job on calling about the pump! I think insurance companies are required to cover pumps now. The lactation consultant at the hospital mentioned that to me, but I had bought my pump before the new law went into effect.
Can't wait to see pics of the nursery when you post them!
Lookin' good!
ReplyDeleteAwesome job on the pump! My insurance didn't cover it but we splurged and got the pump I wanted and it was well worth the money. I used it two days after getting home from the hospital until Aubrey was 18 months old. I plan on using it if we have another baby too!
Love your little bump! The weeks are flying by (I guess I'm not the one pregnant, though, huh?) haha!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you're already 24 weeks! Crazy!
