Turner - 4 months

4 months...I can't believe how FAST he is growing up!

Baby Stats:
Weight

15 lbs 2 oz (57th percentile)

Length
26.25" (90th percentile)

Sleep
Turner goes to bed @ 7:30 and we get him up @ 9:30 for one last feeding and goes right back to bed. We've tried eliminating that feeding by feeding him when he goes to bed but it wasn't successful. Getting him up @ 9:30 to feed is working right now and he's sleeping through the night so we will stick with it until we change his routine when he starts solids.

Daily Routine
 Finally have a nice routine down. Turner wakes @ 6 am and I nurse him. He gets fed @ daycare at 9, 12 and 3. I nurse him again for his 6 pm feeding. Bed at 7:30 and then one more quick night feed at 9:30.

Feeding
Feeding schedule, see above. He is still on only breast milk. Nursing is going a lot better than it did a month ago. I try to exclusively nurse him on weekends as I have noticed a dip in my supply during the week. He gets 6.25 ounces if we give him a bottle.

Diaper Size
Still doing cloth diapers and it's still going good. We are in the process of moving the snaps on the diapers since he has grown so much since we started using them.

Clothes Size
3 months cloths are a bit snug on him but he fits into some of them. He wears 3-6 month size and some 6 month clothes. He wears 6 month PJ's as it seems he grows out of those first.

Hair Color
Light brown color.

Eye Color
He's our lil' blue eye boy for right now!

Milestones/Likes/Dislikes
On 9/6/13, he rolled over @ daycare from tummy to back. On 9/9/13, he finally rolled over for mama from back to tummy. He does both ways now very fast and all the time. I shot this video a few weeks back when he was just learning to roll.

- He's interested in everything. My water bottle, our cell phones, the remote, etc. He likes to play with things also. His paci, his bottle, and Sophia is a HUGE hit with him...he loves her!!!

- Turner is officially no longer being swaddled at night or nap time. We had decided to transition him into no swaddle. He kept fussing when we put him down and at night with his hands by his mouth and we were thinking that it wasn't going so well. One night he was fighting it so hard I just decided to now swaddle him at all...sure enough, that is what he was trying to tell us. He has slept so much better since not being swaddled. It also makes us less worried since he is rolling so much that he will have his arms there for him when he does roll over.

- Turner attended his first college football game and it happened to be at our old stomping grounds. Tate was excited to show off Turner to everyone and to show Turner where he use to play.

-Turner is now sitting up on his own...and is getting better and better every day at it. He sits up for a good 30 seconds before tumbling over. It's the cutest thing...he just looks like a big boy when he sits up.

- Turner gets the biggest smile when Dad gets home. He just loves him so much and it's a joy to see there relationship grow. When I pick up from daycare, he gives me the biggest smile and 'hug'. It literally melts my heart.

- Turner is a very active little boy. He just loves moving around. If you put him on his back, he will most likely roll to his tummy so he can move around in circles.

Your personality is coming through more and more every day. I just love this phase and I know I will probably say that as each month that goes by. Your smile brightens up my day and your laugh is just precious. Getting you to laugh is so easy and I love it. You are such a good baby. You know what you want and try very hard to go after it even though you can't crawl or walk yet...you seem to find a way. I often wonder what you are thinking because you have the best facial expressions. I love your open mouth kisses and your constant grabbing of my hair (even though it hurts). It just shows you are learning so many knew things. I'm excited to teach you many new things and to love you more and more every single day!!!
