Another month in 2012 has come and gone and I've still stuck to my new years resolution and it's time to share!
I tired a few new things this month. One thing I tried were Kashi Pita Crisps Zesty Salsa flavor. They are so yummy!!! I love dipping them in my herb tomato soup and snacking on them when I get hungry. They are very hard to find though. I have only found them at one grocery store and I don't frequent there often so next time I go I will be picking up a few boxes instead of one!
I also tried a lemon poppy seed muffin! I have never been a 'muffin' person. I only ate chocolate muffins. I just have this thing with cooking fruit..not a fan of it. But someone brought some in for us here @ the office and I decided to try the lemon one and I actually ate the whole thing. Now...I don't plan to go out and buy muffins or anything, but I did like it and I tried something new...that's a plus in my book.
The other half of my new year resolution was becoming more organized...which I completed something again this month, but don't have pictures to prove it :(. Tate and I organized our garage a couple weekends ago. We pulled everything out and swept it clean. We then put everything that we store away during winter in there in it's place outside (patio table, hose, grill, etc). We now use our 3rd stall door so we set the mower and moped in front of it so when we need to use them, you just open the door and take it out. No more needing to move a car to do so. We put everything where it was accessible and not blocking something else. We organized a little are for me to do my 'craft' stuff. I love having a clean garage. We still want to add more shelving and some other things. That will be a summer project for Tate. Until then...I am happy organizing my life one area at a time :)
As most of you have read, I am a CPA and work for a public accounting firm. We work very long hours from about the middle of January until tax deadline which is usually April 15. Since we are working long hours...our Admin staff likes to do fun things here and there, which I am so happy that they do this. Once a week they do something fun. We've had 'chips & dips' day, cereal guessing competition (that I won) and many other 'days'.
Today was 'food on a stick' day. They wanted everyone to bring in something so we can see everyone be creative. I made 'breakfast on a stick' and it was a hit. It included eggs, turkey sausage, pancakes and hash browns.

Food on a stick was a HUGE success. We even had corn dogs, dilly bars and buster bars (just no pictures). Glad everyone participated. Big thanks to the admin staff for putting this one!!!!
So yes...I have been MIA lately. Work is so crazy busy!!! I've been working 60 hour weeks...and I love it :) You might think I am crazy...but there is just something about doing what you love and loving what you do!
On my one day off...Sundays...I have used that to work on projects. I am about 60% done with my latest DIY project. Can't wait until it's finished and I can showcase it to you! I plan to show you some sneak peaks here and there because it's a long and tedious project. I really wanted to get our office done before the end of March...but when I only have one day to work on it...it's a bit difficult! My next goal to get this done is by the end of April (hoping sooner though).
Many new and exciting things are happening! A few of my co-workers and myself will be joining a golf league this summer. I look forward to this...hoping to improve my game. We have 3 friends that have recently told us they are expecting. I am beyond excited for all 3 couples. They are all due within a week of eachother...in the best month, October :)
I love that the weather is BEAUTIFUL outside. It's very hard to work long hours when it's nice and sunny! Only 22 more days of tax season!!!

PS...sorry for the lack of posts lately. Work is crazy busy! It's March 15th today...so that means tax deadline #1 is done...now only 33 more days until April 17th!
On this day 60 years ago...my Mom came into this world! My siblings and I threw her a SURPRISE birthday party this past Saturday. I am so happy that the surprise was not 'leaked' and everyone had a wonderful time. So many people showed up...I was so happy that so many people wanted to help my mom celebrate her birthday.
