Maddox's Birth Story

Maddox's birth story is a total 180 of Turner's birth story. If we have a 3rd child, I will take Maddox's birth story over Turner's any day!

Maddox's birth story starts around 4 pm on July 21st. I was 39 weeks pregnant and was hoping to have him that day. I had a scheduled doctor appt at 3:45. I prayed on the way to my appointment that I would have progressed from the week prior and that stripping my membranes would start labor. Tate and I love the number 21 so having him on the 21st would have just made it perfect we thought.

At my appointment, I hadn't progressed passed 3 cm which bummed me out. My doctor then stripped my membranes which was so uncomfortable. While stripping my membranes...she accidentally broke my water. All the sudden I felt a gush and my doctor looked at me and said 'Well, I just broke your water and I did not mean to do that'. She then left the room to call the hospital to let them know I would be on my way and to be ready for me. She then came back and told me to go home, grab my stuff and head to the hospital. She said with baby #2 they usually come faster.

She left the room to let me get dressed and put on a 'diaper' because I was still leaking. I didn't have service but was connected to wifi so I instantly texted Tate to leave work and go get Turner from daycare and texted my mom to leave to come to our house. Tate tried calling but with no service he couldn't hear anything I said so I was trying to hurry so I could leave the clinic and call him back.

I left the clinic at 4:15 and first called my mom as she hadn't checked her text messages and we needed her to get on the road. I then called Tate who had already left work to go get Turner. At this point, I was not having any contractions so I felt like we had some time. My doctor thought we should have had my mom pick up Turner from daycare and we should get to the hospital within an hour, but I wanted Tate to pick up Turner and see him before having the baby.

I went home and finished packing up the hospital bag with last minute items. I got everything else in order for my mom taking care of Turner. By the time Tate got home, around 4:50 pm, my contractions were about 7 minutes apart and not super strong. Tate made me just sit still so contractions wouldn't come too fast since we were waiting for my mom to get there to head to the hospital. I sat there, timed contractions, literally gave orders to Tate on what needs to go in the car and what needs to be done and played with Turner.

I soaked in every minute I had left with my baby. This picture was taken at 5:24 pm on 7/21. Contractions at this point were about 5 minutes apart and getting stronger.

I called my mom at 5:45 to see where she was at. I knew she needed to get there fast since my contractions were getting closer together and stronger. We went outside at 6 to wait for her. We tried to get a selfie family pic of 3 but Turner wasn't having it. My mom finally pulled up at 6:15. My contractions by this time were about 3-5 minutes apart and lasting 1 minute. I quickly went over everything with my mom for Turner in between my contractions...and then we kissed Turner goodbye and headed to the hospital.

We got to the hospital, they were expecting us when we got to triage and they sent me straight to labor and delivery...after signing a few forms first of course. We were checked into our room at 6:40 pm. Nurses came in immediately as my contractions kept coming faster. By this point they were only 1 minute apart and I feel like I was not getting much of a break in between.

One nurse was trying to get an IV in my arm and she was having trouble. I kept asking for the epidural and they kept telling me I had to wait until a whole bag of IV was in me....and considering the IV wasn't even hooked up yet, I was getting nervous that I wasn't going to get an epidural. After 2 failed attempts to get the IV in me, the nurse called in another nurse to get it in and they did in my hand vs my arm. During this process my delivery nurse Megan checked to see how far along I was and I was dilated 6 cm.

As each contraction kept coming, Megan got everything else set up for the baby. She also checked me again after this and I was dilated 8 cm and the IV was barely moving. As I kept asking for the epidural, the nurses kept giving Tate the look that 'it's too late, not going to happen'. Not much later I felt the need to push. I told Megan this and she immediately called in the doctor.

I started pushing a little past 7 pm as I felt the need to. After much pushing, Maddox's heart rate was dropping so the doctor needed to use the vacuum to get him out. She only needed to use it once on him and out he came at 7:36 pm, less than 1 hour from being admitted. Tate immediately announced it was a BOY.

After Tate announced it was a boy, I just kept saying his name...Maddox James. I was so excited to have another boy and get to name him with a strong, cute name :) I was feeling so excited that Turner was going to have a best bud for life.

After they cleaned him up, we immediately did skin to skin. I couldn't stop staring at him and thinking he looked nothing like Turner (not the case at all...but at that moment, I didn't think he looked like his brother at all). I kept looking over him to make sure he was OK. As I was checking out his toes, I thought I didn't see any toe nails and panicked thinking he had none. I checked out his fingers and noticed he did have finger nails. I kept telling Tate, 'he doesn't have any toe nails, he doesn't have any toe nails'. Tate kept reassuring me he did. I told the nurse I don't think he does and she looked and said he does. Sure enough, he does...they were just deep ;) haha.

Even though I didn't get my epidural...I would still take Maddox's birth over Turner's any day. I always said that the only way I wouldn't get an epidural was if it was too late...and sure enough, that is what happened. Pushing and delivering him...was not painful. The contractions is what was painful. It didn't even hurt to deliver the placenta after or being stitched up from my 2nd degree tear.

Maddox's birth was also different in that he didn't require a NICU stay like Turner did. Maddox got to stay in our room. We loved it. I felt like we asked many questions for being 2nd time parents but when we have never experienced this kind of hospital stay, it definitely was like being first time parents for the hospital part.

After less than 48 hours of being born, we headed home to start the new chapter of our family of 4. Feeling very blessed and grateful for this new miracle that joined our family.

Maddox's Maternity Session

Even though Maddox made his debut last week...I still need to document and share my maternity session with him still in my belly. The photos were taken at Prospect Park in Minneapolis.

We had our favorite photographer, Kimberly Williams Photography, (she did our engagement, wedding, Turner's 3 month, 6 month and 1 year photos - apparently I've never posted these, opps) document this pregnancy for us. She once again, exceeded our expectations and I couldn't be more thrilled with how they turned out.

Here are a few of my favorites from the session...

I think he misses my seat bump ;)

I can't get enough of him!!!

Maddox James

It's a BOY!!!

We are beyond blessed to announce the arrival of Turner's little brother, Maddox James.

Maddox joined us on 7/21/15 at 7:36 pm.

Maddox weighed 7 lbs 14 oz and was 20.25" long.

Turner loves his baby brother. We are so grateful and thankful for all the messages, well wishes and congrats we have received via text, Instagram and Facebook.

Birth story to come soon as it was completely different than my birth story with Turner.

Bump Day Baby #2 - Week 38

  • Baby is the size of a pumpkin...which totally feels right ;)
  • Baby just keeps gaining weight and loosing his or her vernix caseosa and lanugo.
  • No weight gain for me though this last week.
  • Measuring now at 39 weeks.
  • Dilated to 3 cm and 70% effaced.
  • Turner came to doctor with me and was such a good boy. He held my hand while I was on the table. He also wanted to play with everything in the doctor office except for the toys I brought.
  • Eating candy like it's going out of style at work...serious problem
  • Craving watermelon all the time.
  • Nursery is done...I mean there is some organization I want to do but it's hard not knowing gender so it's pretty bare in the closet and dresser but we have everything on the walls, furniture assembled and ready for his or her arrival
  • My to do list for home is minimal and I am feeling less stressed
  • My to do list at work is out of control and that has me feeling stressed.
  • Been waking up at night at least twice. Last night was good though and I slept through the night, but that is rare these days.
  • Baby is still moving like crazy in there
  • Had some bigger contractions on Sunday and Monday evening. Nothing worth timing since they were sporadic, but definitely ones that were causing me to be in pain.
  • Got my car call cleaned, installed car seat, baby swing is put together and so is the bouncer...which Turner loves to hang out in ;)
  • We celebrated Tate's birthday on Sunday with mini golf, grilling out and fun with friends.
  • I am hoping I don't have to see my doctor at my 39 week appointment next Tuesday. I'm hoping that baby actually comes that day...during the day!
I find it hilarious I thought I was 'big' at 18 weeks...haha

Bump Day Baby #2 - Week 37

  • Baby is the size of a wintermelon
  • Baby is no considered full term (whoop whoop) and is gaining about 1/2 ounce a day
  • Gained no weight this week so I'm still at a total weight gain of 19lbs which just baffles me.
  • I'm measuring right at 37 weeks since the baby has no 'dropped' according to my doctor
  • I'm dilated to 2 cm and 50% effaced
  • My left ankle keeps swelling up and my varicose veins are not pretty...but only in my left leg. My doctor said that baby is sitting more on that side causing that.
  • Baby's heartbeat is 147
  • Sleep is hit or miss. It's about every other night that I wake up during the night to either pee or just because I am uncomfortable
  • The nursery is almost done...woohooo. This holiday weekend really helped in getting loads of stuff done. I can't wait until it's finished.
  • Washed all the gender neutral clothes we have. Also been in full on nesting mode. Made 5 freezer meals and hope to make more before baby actually comes. I also made 2 batches of my green waffles and 2 batches of muffins to freeze.
  • Turner is still being a total mama's boy. Love him so much and pray every night that this transition for him will be go smoothly. He keeps going in the nursery and telling me everything that is for the baby. It's so cute.
  • For food I am still just craving fruit (Watermelon at the moment) and ice cream.
  • Still trying to kick this summer cold I have. It's very unpleasant
  • Looking forward to crossing more things off my list, the baby staying in there until at least 39 weeks and just enjoying some down time with my family of 3 before the craziness begins.

Bump Day Baby #2 - Week 36

  • Baby is the size of a honeydew
  • Lungs are the only organ that needs to full mature
  • Lost 1 lb since last week so I am only up 19 lbs right now
  • No new maternity items purchased and won't the rest of this pregnancy
  • Best moment is Tate got his cast removed and can now do some weight bearing on his foot. His help is needed so much.
  • Also had another doc appt yesterday and got to hear the strong heartbeat of 153.
  • I am 1.5 cm dilated and about 20-25% effaced she thinks
  • I am now measuring at 38 weeks. Doc doesn't think I will go much passed the actual 38 week mark. I hope to make it to 39 for work and home life purposes. Need to get more stuff in order.
  • Baby is still moving like crazy.
  • Nursery still isn't done. We started building the 50,000 piece Ikea dresser last night after I had my panic moment from my doctor appointment. We made great progress and I plan to finish it tonight. I'm going to buy the crib on Friday along with other items needs to finish the nursery.
  •  Been sleeping like crap...but I think it's because of my cold, anxiety and this baby. Had to get up to pee a few times.
  • Tuner has been a total mama's boy lately. It's very difficult to hold him when I already am carrying so much weight and feel like I'm exhausted from already having to do so much with a husband who is limited. Turner wants mommy to do EVERYTHING. I love savoring these last few days with him as my one and only...but it can get super exhausting the way he is so needy.
  • Work is crazy busy right now and I feel like I am drowning. Like they say...when it rains, it pours.

Bump Day Baby #2 - Week 35

  • Baby is the size of a coconut
  • From now on...most baby growth will be just plumping up. Hearing is totally developed now.
  • Total weight gain is 20 lbs
  • All dresses and pants are maternity. I have some tanks that are just a size bigger that are still working. My maxi skirts are also just regular and not maternity.
  • Best moment was Tate getting through his first surgery just fine and now on the road to recovery. Hoping he will be in a walking boot in a week and then I will be able to have some help with things.
  • We did maternity/family/Turner's 2 year photos yesterday. So excited to see them. It's always hit or miss with a toddler who just wants to run around. Hoping she got some good ones.
  • Movement is like crazy still. I love that this baby loves to move so much. He or She will probably be non stop just like Turner.
  • Food cravings are just fruit and ice cream. I still am loving my cereal too.
  • I had a doctor appointment yesterday and she checked me to just see. Dilated to 1 cm but not effaced at all. This means nothing to me and will not hold my breath for anything. I am also measuring at 36 weeks.
  • The only thing I miss is beer and wine. Can't wait to have my first Summer Shandy.
  • Having weird dreams about Turner falling down stairs or off our bed. I wake up trying to grab him to save him. I did this when he was first born also. It's so painful to wake up and be moving as much as I am with this big belly that was very much rested. Ouch.
  • Currently Turner and Tate both have summer colds...no fun.
  • Gender is still unknown...can't wait to find out :)
  • Only 2 strangers commented on my belly this last week. One lady at Trader Joe's stopped me to ask me if I was due any day now...I told her 5 more weeks and she said, 'well at least there is a nice breeze today'. A 20 something guy at H&M told me you couldn't even tell I was pregnant from behind. I was at register when he came up to help me. He was behind me and then was surprised to see me very pregnant.
  • Looking forward to finishing up the nursery. Our neighbor came over to carry up the boxes for the dresser that will go in there. Each box is 70lbs+ and since Tate is currently out of commission, it's nice to have neighbors help.
  • Mowing the lawn until Tate can walk again. It sucks but at least we have a small yard and self propelled mower.

Switched up week 15 photo so I could see belly growth more accurately....BAM...it's huge!

Bump Day Baby #2 - Week 34

OH man does this picture speak 1,000 words...look at that face, so tired! If you read yesterdays post...you know why!

  • Baby is the size of a butternut squash
  • Baby can recognize and react to simple songs
  • Total weight gain on last Friday's appt was 19lbs. Next appt is Tuesday at 35 weeks then we will be doing weekly appts...eeekkkk
  • Still no stretch marks. But I do have weird marks on belly button from my younger years piercing. I also had a mole removed on my belly during my first trimester and that scar is fugly.
  • Had a bit of a scare last week. Thought I leaked fluid (or water broke) and had to go to hospital to get tested. It was negative so that was a relief.
  • Sleep is still going great with my snoogle pillow.
  • I'm wearing 95% maternity clothes. I have a few tanks that are just a size up that I wear here and there...but for the most part, maternity it is.
  •  Movement...this baby is a crazy mover. Way more than Turner was. Maybe it's because of all the sweets I crave and stuff my face with. Ice Cream, Dark chocolate Hershey fun size bars...seriously, I can't get enough.
  • Since Tate's injury...I decided that I will not be going to the gym in the mornings. I need to spend that time getting other stuff done since my husband is currently out of commission. I wake and now clean, build something or get other items done around the house.
  • Nursery is still just sitting. I have a goal list now and hope to have it ready by 37 weeks because I feel like this baby is going to come early.
  • Mowed the lawn on Sunday which wasn't so bad since it's self propelled. Our lawn was super long and I should have bagged it...but that was not happening because that requires so much more work.
  • I'm determined now that it's a boy. I don't know why....but I just do and will be so surprised if it's a girl. I also think life would be easier if it's a boy since we already have EVERYTHING for a summer baby boy. With Tate's injury...I'm thinking anything to make things easier I am OK with.
  • I had 3 people comment on Tuesday while I left work for an hour to run errands. Complete strangers told me that I must be due very soon and when I told them 6 more weeks...they felt bad for me. No need to is what I thought. One very nice lady told me I was probably having a boy since I'm carrying all out front. She had 6 boys herself (bless her heart).
  • Mom is coming up tomorrow to help out since Tate's surgery is tomorrow. So thankful for the help of family and friends. It's hard to accept because I'm a very much 'I can do it myself' type of person...but a person can only do so much.

Bump Day Baby #2 - Week 33

  • Baby is the size of a durian fruit (what is that?)
  • Baby could grow up to a full inch this week alone and the brain is developing like crazy.
  • Total weight gain...I think around 19 lbs. I have my doc appt on Friday.
  • No stretch marks...the one I thought I had on my stomach is actually not one.
  • Golfed an 18 hole scramble yesterday...and boy did that tire me out. Slept so well last night.
  • Celebrated our lil' man turning 2 last weekend with a birthday party. Had a jumpy house, cupcakes and build your own ice cream sundae bar. It was a hit and everyone had fun.
  • Finished Turner's swimming lessons this week. He did great and improved so much throughout the 7 weeks.
  • Moved Turner to his new room so we can now start on the nursery. He is doing so well in his new room...I think he is better in there than his old one. Now just have to put the nursery together. That won't be done until July probably because we have so much going on.
  • Feeling so many movements and everyone else can see and feel them also. I love it.
  • Having more and more braxton hicks. I have a feeling this baby will come early but I am not holding my breath.
  • Baby is so low and heavy. Still having hip pain and some lower back pain.
  • Still going to gym weekly. I love that time in the morning to gear up for the day.
  • Cravings is still anything carb related, ice cream and fruit. Last night I craved baby carrots which is weird but I went with it and ate a whole bunch.
  • Varicose veins are in full force. I hope they go away after this pregnancy but I have a feeling they won't since my mom and Grandma both had them. They are worse on my left leg. Ankle and chin area.
  • I have been listening to my body more and resting as much as I can. I am not one to just sit and watch TV or other people do things but I know my body is telling me to do so. It's hard...but I don't want to harm the baby or myself so I am slowing down.
I can see why everyone thinks I am about to pop when you compare 23 to 33 weeks. My belly is so low and large. It's a great shelf/chair for Turner to use :)

Bump Day Baby #2 - Week 32

  • Only 8 weeks until due date (insert panic attacks...because I feel like there is so much to do).
  • Baby is the size of a squash
  • Baby is getting ready to emerge by being head down. At my doc appt last week the doctor did say this baby was head down, so that's good. Let's hope he/she stays that way.
  • I've gained a total of 17 lbs.
  • I think stretch mark I spoke of last week was in fact a scratch and not a stretch mark.
  • Just returned from a 2 day work trip to San Francisco. I was happy to make it home safely without any pregnancy related incidents. I was afraid of going into labor on plane or while in CA...but luckily nothing happened. Was there for a Women's Leadership Conference and had a great time. Didn't get to do a tourist things which bummed me out but I didn't want to stay any extra days...already missing my lil' mans 2nd birthday was enough to make me not want to go. Only turning 2 and celebrating before I left help ease my emotions with this.
  • I feel huge...I can't believe I am going to be getting bigger in the next 8 weeks.
  • No new purchases this week...but we have a lot to do before this baby comes. Turner's birthday party is this weekend so my family will be coming early to help with a few things and we are moving Turner to his new room this weekend.
  • I received my maternity clothes order from Motherhood maternity and love everything. It all fits and I have already worn some items. *SCORE*
  • Sleeping great, wedding rings still fit and bathroom trip are only frequent during the day.
  • We have a few busy weeks coming up here so I will look forward to it slowing down at the 34 week mark because I don't think anything is planned until baby comes then :)
  • I am only working today and tomorrow and took Friday off to take Turner to zoo for his birthday. My sister will also be in town and coming with us.

Bump Day Baby #2 - Week 31

  • Baby is the size of a pineapple
  • Baby is going through major brain & nerve development
  • Weight gain...I'll find out tomorrow @ my doc appointment. I'm seeing a different doctor so that is why my appt was not yesterday...my doc is on a 2 week vacation to Europe #jealous
  • I think I may have found a stretch mark...but not sure. Right above my belly button (or stub since it sticks out so far) is a red mark and I am not sure if I scratched my stomach super hard or it's a stretch mark. We will see.
  • I slept so well this last week. Over Memorial Day week I purposely didn't set an alarm and slept in. It felt glorious and I feel like it would've been even later than 7:30 had Tate not needed to get up for work on Memorial Day.
  • Bathroom breaks during the day are still frequent...at night it's nothing.
  • Gym routine is the same...3-4 days a week
  • Haven't gotten my maternity clothes yet that I ordered...hoping they will come in the next few days.
  • Maternity photos are all set up for a few weeks from now. So excited to do those along with Turner's 2 year photos.
  • Still only like fruit and carbs. I eat oatmeal and toast as if it's going out of style. Pineapple, watermelon and apples are my fav right now for fruit.
  • Still have hip pain and I think it's going to stay until this baby is born. I constantly feel like an only lady after sitting. Bending over is now a chore.
  • I'm slowing down as I feel my body is tell me to do so. I am extremely exhausted after we put Turner to bed. Since I am a morning person, I've tried now changing it up and getting all my stuff done in the morning so I can just 'relax' at night.
  • No new purchases for baby or nursery this week as we are finalizing house stuff in hopes to get a lot done before Turner's birthday party in less than 2 weeks.
  • Looking forward to Turner's 2nd birthday next week. Can't believe I will have a 2 year old in 6 days.

Bump Day Baby #2 - Week 30

  • First and foremost can we talk about how I am already 30 weeks which means I only have 10 weeks left (give or take a few weeks). I feel like this pregnancy has just flown by.
  • Baby is now the size of ac cucumber. I always send my email weekly updates to Tate and he was disappointed on the veggie choice they choose for this week. He said they could have picked something better...haha. He can take that up with 'the bump' corporate office if it bothers him that much I told him.
  • Baby's skin is smoothing out and the baby's grip is now strong enough to grasp a finger.
  • Weight gain will have to wait until next week when I have my doctor appt. My doctor is actually out on vacation so I will be seeing someone different just for this week. I hope she's as nice and lovely as my doctor...but if not, only have to see her once!
  • No stretch marks and rings still fit just fine.
  • This last week was a bit tricky on sleep. I woke up more frequently it seems just randomly. I am not back to normal though of sleeping through the night.
  • Bathroom visits are too high during the day...I swear this baby is dancing on my bladder during the day and doesn't touch it at night because I don't even have to race and go when I wake up.
  • Still visiting the gym 3 days a week. Lifting weight and 10 minutes of cardio. Going for walks not too that the weather is nice. Mya sure loves that and Turner loves the park.
  • We are making progress on the house. The office downstairs is officially ready to move Turner's stuff down there. We plan to have him sleeping in there the night of 6/6. Then it will be time to start decorating the nursery upstairs.
  • House projects are coming along great as well. The entry is making great progress. I spent last weekend and this week painting all the trim for around the doors and the closet doors. Tate and I plan to start installing that this Friday. We are having visitors this weekend so no projects during that time but if we can get it done before they arrive, I'll be happy.
  • Purchased the dresser/changing table from Ikea for the nursery. It was 15% off so I knew it was a good time to get it. Can't wait to fill it full of baby stuff :)

  • I also made a few maternity cloth purchases from Motherhood Maternity since they were having a sale on their clearance items. Bought these skinny jeans, this top, and this tunic. Carolyn had posted that she had just purchased some items from there so I headed over there to find these items. An extra 30% off the sale plus cheap shipping sucked me in. All 3 of those items for only around $35 is awesome! I just hope they all fit.
  • Baby is sitting so low...it's causing some hip pain still and just feels heavy. I floors me that I still have 10 weeks to carry this baby so low...sometimes I feel he/she will just fall out.
  • Still get comments that I must be due any day now...then they are surprised when I tell them not until July. I don't even tell them the end of July since that makes it seem even more far away.
  • Still don't know gender and look forward to delivering this baby and seeing for the first time if it's a girl or boy :)

Bump Day Baby #2 - Week 29

  • Baby is the size of an acorn squash
  • Baby's energy is surging which seems about right because we have a very active one! Always dancing/moving and keeping mom running to the bathroom because I think he/she is using my bladder as a trampoline.
  • Baby also loves night time ready I do with Turner. I think he or she will love reading just like his or her brother.
  • Went to go see Chiropractor last Friday because I couldn't really walk. Had really bad hip pain and lower back pain. She fixed my back and we learned that I had a giant muscle knot in my hip (who knew you could get knots there). She rubbed it a lot and it was so painful! She gave me some at home stretches and other things I could do to help with it. It feels a million times better and I am so thankful for her! She said she normally only sees this knot in runners...so it's weird that I have it when I haven't ran since my first trimester.
  • I've gained 18 lbs so far
  • Still getting lots of braxton hicks throughout the week.
  • Purchased a few new maternity clothes since Old Navy was having a great sale on Mother's Day. I bought another pair of pants for work and a maxi dress. I also purchased a few tanks from Target that go well under sweaters for work.
  • Still haven't seen stretch marks.
  • I'm still measuring 1 week early per my doctor. Baby's heartbeat was 159 at my doctor appointment yesterday.
  • Belly button is out in full force. I am also carrying so low and this is why I think that everyone things I'm about to 'pop'. People are so surprised when I tell them I still have 11 weeks left. I don't feel that huge but it makes me wonder what people will say in the next 11 weeks when I am only going to continue to grow.
  • Craving mac and cheese, fruit and almond milk. Pretty much the same stuff I craved when pregnant with Turner.
  • No new nursery or baby purchases this week but we will be making a run to Ikea soon to get some furniture for the nursery. I did paint Turner's big boy room this weekend. Once we move him to his new room, we will be able to really get things done in the nursery.

Bump Day Baby #2 - Week 28

  • Baby is the size of an eggplant
  • Good to know that the lungs of our baby are now mature enough that if born right now, it has a pretty good change of surviving (with help from medical technology).
  • Weight gain...I don't believe my home scale because it fluctuates so much so I'll wait until doc appt next week.
  • Still no stretch marks and I only use lotion on a daily basis
  • Still feeling braxton hicks periodically
  • Forgot to mention last week...but passed my glucose test. I did it the fasting way because I didn't want to drink that stuff. After reading this article I asked about other options. Apparently there is a 'fasting' option and my doctor was OK with me doing that. Appt was right at 7 am so the fasting happened while sleeping :)
  • Still feeling lots of movement and I love it. Tate feels it a lot now also. Turner...well he doesn't sit still long enough to feel the baby move
  • Picked out a few girl clothes just in case. It was weird having pink clothes in the house. We will see if they even get used.
  • I plan to make my own faux fur rug for the nursery. Bought some material/fabric from Joann's with 60% off coupon so this rug is going to be dirt cheap...I'm talking less than $40 probably which is un-heard of for a faux fur 5x7 rug.
  • My mom is coming this weekend and I am so excited. We have plans to paint Turner's new room and cross other things off our list.
  • Still feeling great even though I am in my 3rd trimester. I feel very unprepared since we only have 12 weeks left...but I'm not putting too much pressure on myself as I know regardless...this baby will be safe and have a roof over his or her head.
