Words

Whenever I have moments where I feel down or days when all I want to do is feel sorry for myself...I look for encouraging words to pull me out it! Now...this is not an often occurrence. I mean...I am a very happy person that is always giddy with excitement, but I am also human and have days where I just want to curl up and cry all day...most times for no reason at all!

Saw this yesterday on Instagram and LOVED it! Need to always look @ the postives. Forget about the past...because that is what it is...the past. Can't undo it and you can't change it. But you can do something today so that you don't repeat the past. All in all...just stay postive!

Loved when I found this. I think most females always do this! I've learned that I can't be anybody but myself...and I frickin' love myself :) Others love me too and I need to learn to not care what people think of me so much...if they don't like me, there loss, not mine!

This this this!! Wow..does this speak VOLUME to me! I am one of the most impatient persons you may ever meet! It's pretty bad and I have my dad to thank for that! I've been trying really hard to be more patient and I think I have been improving...even though it's hard. Everything happens for a reason, I have to keep remembering that and if it takes longer than I would like...there is a reason for that. I may not see it right away, but soon enough that reason will appear and I will be thankful.

I am a very Type A person and have a 'plan' for everything...including my life! If things don't go as planned...I get bad anxiety! I've been learning to let go and just let things happen. My husband is very good at this...me, not so much...but I am trying! Need to live for today because we are not promised tomorrow!

And I thought I would end on this one because it speaks everything I think and believe. Even though it's hard to always remember to live by these words...I try really hard to. Each day is a blessing! Live life to the fullest. Don't take anything for granted and always remember to let your loved ones know you love them!

PS...I love all my fellow bloggers and readers! Thankful for you and feel blessed to have you in my life :)

Found that light @ Fleet Farm on clearance since it was the display model...a nice $30 savings :)

We bought the rug to go around the toilet from Bed, Bath & Beyond with a $5 off coupon...the other rug we had received for a wedding present.

Menards was having a sale for pretty much everything we needed to replace in this bathroom so it was time to buy it. We had been waiting for it to go one sale. Saved a total of $60.79 (dont' you just love when they put on the receipt how much you save?!?! I DO!!!)

Bud & Danielle's Wedding

Our last wedding of this season...so sad that wedding season for us is over!

Bud (real name is Eric) and Danielle got married in Red Wing, MN @ the Round Barn Farm. This place reminded me a lot of Amanda's wedding which was last September.

The barn where the reception was held!

Here is my attempt to take a picture with the iPhone during the ceremony while it was raining...yes it rained and they still have the ceremony outside! There was no plan B...but it was only sprinkling lightly...nothing too major! It stopped half way through the ceremony!

- menu sign - table with guestbook, wine tags, lemonade - lemonade - ice sculpture -

- close up of the lemonade..so good - beautiful flowers - ceiling of the round barn - favors = homemade jam -

A little glimpse inside the barn.

Good times!

They had a photo booth that we may or may not have use one too many times :)
sorry for the crappy iPhone photo

My super cute hubby and I :)

A great ending to wedding season!

We has so much fun with great friends that we don't see nearly enough! Look forward to May 2013 for the next wedding we will all be together again!

Bud and Danielle, CONGRATULATIONS and thank you for letting us share in your special day!
We love you guys and look forward to making many more memories with you!

Rylee Jane turns 2

Tate and I are very blessed to be the Godparents of Miss Rylee Jane!

Today is her 2nd birthday...and oh my how they grow up so fast!

We celebrated with a party on Saturday. It was so good seeing her and celebrating her big day!
DISCLAIMER: This post does contain lots of pictures!!
Love this little girl to pieces!

Amanda (Rylee's mom, my best friend) decorated so cute for the party!

We enjoyed good food with great company!
Rylee got many gifts. She loved the 'babies' she got! So many and she couldn't get enough of them!
After opening her presents...it was time to sing happy birthday and to eat cake (cupcakes)!
She ate all the frosting off each cupcake...

Amanda and her sister-in-law! Amanda is due with twins in December and Alyssa is due in October with a baby boy!

Rylee...I feel so excited to watch you grow up and become a fine young lady, but I also don't want you to! You are so darn cute and I just can't get enough of you when we are together! I can't believe it was 2 years ago today that you entered this world! I remember it like it was yesterday! You are going to be the best big sister EVER!! I love you so much!

XOXO,

Bathroom #1 Remodel Started

A LONG time ago...I posted about some remodel projects we were going to do and even posted about what we had already done to bathroom #2. While we have done more to bathroom #2 since I last posted, it's nothing too exciting and I am going to wait to post until we get it a bit more updated! We should get that done this week since we are having a guest this weekend and bathroom #2 is our guest bathroom.

But in the mean time...we are officially started remodeling bathroom #1. Bathroom #1 is also considered the 'master' bathroom. It actually is a walk through bathroom. Enter through hallway, then you can exit into our bedroom...you get the picture :)

Here is bathroom #1 before pictures:
Golden oak vanity, trim and doors...it's never ending in our house

What they call a 'contractors' mirror...it needs to be updated or replaced, it definitely needs something!

That shelf usually has stuff on it...oh...and a golden oak linen closet :)

So this bathroom needs a lot more done then the downstairs bathroom (bathroom #2).

We are planning to:
Stain vanity a dark espresso color
Paint walls (color has yet to be chosen)
New counter tops
White trim
New white 6 panel doors
Updated decor

We had originally planned to more all the bronze hardware and fixtures to the downstairs bathroom, but have since decided to keep it upstairs and buy new bronzed items for downstairs. I wasn't sure how the bronzed would look with the dark espresso cabinets...but after already staining one door, it looks very nice and sophisticated. This will save some money because if we bought everything new for this bathroom...it would have been double lights and double faucets since there is 2 sinks.

I have been staining the doors and drawers this last week (hence the lacking of blog posts) and last night I started the vanity and linen closet. We have also removed the trim.
Here Tate is removing part of the counter. Had to do this so I could stain the whole vanity!

And this is after I removed the trim. I even marked them where they originally went so we could use this trim to measure out the new trim very easily.

Here is the vanity after one coat! It requires 3 or 4 even...I had to use 4 on one of the doors and it looks soooo good, can't wait for it took be finished!

We are in a time crunch to get both bathrooms ready because the counters are set to be installed the week of labor day!

My parents will be stopping by on their way back from 'up north' on labor day...I already have a list of stuff that we need his assistance om. My dad owns his own home building business...so all this remodeling is up his alley and his help is GREATLY appreciated!!

Knowing that both bathrooms will be done in 2 1/2 weeks makes me smile...next up will be the kitchen!! Who says I need to sleep?!?!

Twins WIN!!!

Last night Tate and I went to a Twins game @ Target Field with some friends. This was our first game of this season...and probably our only! Not that we don't LOVE going...but when the extra money you have is going to remodel 2 bathrooms and a kitchen...extra fun stuff is usually put on the back burner!

But last night's game was really fun...and they WON! Always a huge plus. Twins were on a 11 game winning streak...then a 4 game losing streak so I was hoping for a win!

It was perfect weather for the game...couldn't ask for anything better!

Ran into some fellow St. Cloud Alum!

We even saw Dick Tracy on our way to the game...wondering if that was where he was headed :)

Fireworks!!! Yaaa Twins!!!

We saw home runs...stolen bases and the boys stuffed their faces with $1 dogs while the girls ate ice cream :) I had so much fun...but my alarm clock was not my friend the next morning. Got home way past my bed time...oh well though, it was worth it!!!

And if anyone wants to know ANYTHING regarding the Twins...just hit up Carolyn from Life, Love & Puppy Prints, she knows her stuff!

 Thanks again Carolyn!!!
