- Baby is the size of a pineapple
- Baby is going through major brain & nerve development
- Weight gain...I'll find out tomorrow @ my doc appointment. I'm seeing a different doctor so that is why my appt was not yesterday...my doc is on a 2 week vacation to Europe #jealous
- I think I may have found a stretch mark...but not sure. Right above my belly button (or stub since it sticks out so far) is a red mark and I am not sure if I scratched my stomach super hard or it's a stretch mark. We will see.
- I slept so well this last week. Over Memorial Day week I purposely didn't set an alarm and slept in. It felt glorious and I feel like it would've been even later than 7:30 had Tate not needed to get up for work on Memorial Day.
- Bathroom breaks during the day are still frequent...at night it's nothing.
- Gym routine is the same...3-4 days a week
- Haven't gotten my maternity clothes yet that I ordered...hoping they will come in the next few days.
- Maternity photos are all set up for a few weeks from now. So excited to do those along with Turner's 2 year photos.
- Still only like fruit and carbs. I eat oatmeal and toast as if it's going out of style. Pineapple, watermelon and apples are my fav right now for fruit.
- Still have hip pain and I think it's going to stay until this baby is born. I constantly feel like an only lady after sitting. Bending over is now a chore.
- I'm slowing down as I feel my body is tell me to do so. I am extremely exhausted after we put Turner to bed. Since I am a morning person, I've tried now changing it up and getting all my stuff done in the morning so I can just 'relax' at night.
- No new purchases for baby or nursery this week as we are finalizing house stuff in hopes to get a lot done before Turner's birthday party in less than 2 weeks.
- Looking forward to Turner's 2nd birthday next week. Can't believe I will have a 2 year old in 6 days.

Bump Day Baby #2 - Week 30
- First and foremost can we talk about how I am already 30 weeks which means I only have 10 weeks left (give or take a few weeks). I feel like this pregnancy has just flown by.
- Baby is now the size of ac cucumber. I always send my email weekly updates to Tate and he was disappointed on the veggie choice they choose for this week. He said they could have picked something better...haha. He can take that up with 'the bump' corporate office if it bothers him that much I told him.
- Baby's skin is smoothing out and the baby's grip is now strong enough to grasp a finger.
- Weight gain will have to wait until next week when I have my doctor appt. My doctor is actually out on vacation so I will be seeing someone different just for this week. I hope she's as nice and lovely as my doctor...but if not, only have to see her once!
- No stretch marks and rings still fit just fine.
- This last week was a bit tricky on sleep. I woke up more frequently it seems just randomly. I am not back to normal though of sleeping through the night.
- Bathroom visits are too high during the day...I swear this baby is dancing on my bladder during the day and doesn't touch it at night because I don't even have to race and go when I wake up.
- Still visiting the gym 3 days a week. Lifting weight and 10 minutes of cardio. Going for walks not too that the weather is nice. Mya sure loves that and Turner loves the park.
- We are making progress on the house. The office downstairs is officially ready to move Turner's stuff down there. We plan to have him sleeping in there the night of 6/6. Then it will be time to start decorating the nursery upstairs.
- House projects are coming along great as well. The entry is making great progress. I spent last weekend and this week painting all the trim for around the doors and the closet doors. Tate and I plan to start installing that this Friday. We are having visitors this weekend so no projects during that time but if we can get it done before they arrive, I'll be happy.
- Purchased the dresser/changing table from Ikea for the nursery. It was 15% off so I knew it was a good time to get it. Can't wait to fill it full of baby stuff :)
- I also made a few maternity cloth purchases from Motherhood Maternity since they were having a sale on their clearance items. Bought these skinny jeans, this top, and this tunic. Carolyn had posted that she had just purchased some items from there so I headed over there to find these items. An extra 30% off the sale plus cheap shipping sucked me in. All 3 of those items for only around $35 is awesome! I just hope they all fit.
- Baby is sitting so low...it's causing some hip pain still and just feels heavy. I floors me that I still have 10 weeks to carry this baby so low...sometimes I feel he/she will just fall out.
- Still get comments that I must be due any day now...then they are surprised when I tell them not until July. I don't even tell them the end of July since that makes it seem even more far away.
- Still don't know gender and look forward to delivering this baby and seeing for the first time if it's a girl or boy :)

Weekends are F-U-N
This weekend was a busy one and my body felt it. I woke up this morning feeling so sore and I can tell I just did too much. At 30 weeks pregnant tomorrow (31 if you want to use the doctors measurement that I am 1 week bigger), you would think there would be some slowing down, but slowing down is for the old :) There is just too much to get done before this baby comes.
Saturday was a day of all sorts of fun. It started with the first birthday of this cutie...Mr. Lofton. It was so fun getting together with all our friends and see all the kids interact because they are now getting to that age where they don't just sit and stare...they actually play together!
Saturday was a day of all sorts of fun. It started with the first birthday of this cutie...Mr. Lofton. It was so fun getting together with all our friends and see all the kids interact because they are now getting to that age where they don't just sit and stare...they actually play together!
After having so much fun at the birthday party, I parted ways with my boys and headed down to Dodge Center to attend a fundraiser for an awesome friend! Lauren and her husband Jesse are a couple I adore and will do whatever to support them to achieve their goal of starting a family of their own. I had lots of fun, won 1 of my silent auction items, purchased some headbands from the store just in case we have a girl and ate delicious pizza and fat Linda bars :)
Upstairs of Coops Event Barn where the fundraiser took place (owned by Lauren's parents)
Downstairs. So beautiful! I loved it!!!!
After hanging out for a bit, I then headed over to my bestie's home to meet the newest addition to her family, Crosby James. He was born on 5/6 and is the first boy for the couple (they have 3 girls). I forget how small newborns are so holding him felt so nerve wrecking because he was so small compared to my 30lb almost 2 year old.
Rylee is one proud big sister!!!
I finally got home around 10 and hit the sack soon after. Sunday I knew I wanted to get lots of stuff done around the house. The list of things to get done before baby #2 arrives is getting smaller, but will continue to only get smaller if we actually get stuff done. First Turner and I went to church while Tate ran to work for a bit and then I had him stop at Ikea to pick up a piece of furniture for the nursery. After I put Turner down for nap, I started priming the closet doors that were a golden oak for our entry way and priming trim pieces. It was a day of off and on rain so it was perfect to stay inside and get things done. Tate caulked the upstairs window and after Turner woke up, we did more cleaning of the office since that will become Turner's room in a couple weeks. Turner helps us my playing with the closet doors (he's obsessed with doors) and moving items around that we asked of him (he's at the age where he loves helping us).
After Turner went to bed...I got to painting the first coat on the closet doors and trim and Tate took Mya for a run. I got the first coat all done by 9:15 and I decided instead of hitting up the gym in the morning, I was going to wake up and paint instead because I really want to get it done. So I was up at 5:30 painting the 2nd coat on the doors and some trim. I didn't get the 2nd coat all done so I will be doing the rest tonight after Turner goes to bed.
And this is why my weekend was F-U-N....time spent with my family and friends and getting house stuff done....total win win!!!

Bump Day Baby #2 - Week 29
- Baby is the size of an acorn squash
- Baby's energy is surging which seems about right because we have a very active one! Always dancing/moving and keeping mom running to the bathroom because I think he/she is using my bladder as a trampoline.
- Baby also loves night time ready I do with Turner. I think he or she will love reading just like his or her brother.
- Went to go see Chiropractor last Friday because I couldn't really walk. Had really bad hip pain and lower back pain. She fixed my back and we learned that I had a giant muscle knot in my hip (who knew you could get knots there). She rubbed it a lot and it was so painful! She gave me some at home stretches and other things I could do to help with it. It feels a million times better and I am so thankful for her! She said she normally only sees this knot in runners...so it's weird that I have it when I haven't ran since my first trimester.
- I've gained 18 lbs so far
- Still getting lots of braxton hicks throughout the week.
- Purchased a few new maternity clothes since Old Navy was having a great sale on Mother's Day. I bought another pair of pants for work and a maxi dress. I also purchased a few tanks from Target that go well under sweaters for work.
- Still haven't seen stretch marks.
- I'm still measuring 1 week early per my doctor. Baby's heartbeat was 159 at my doctor appointment yesterday.
- Belly button is out in full force. I am also carrying so low and this is why I think that everyone things I'm about to 'pop'. People are so surprised when I tell them I still have 11 weeks left. I don't feel that huge but it makes me wonder what people will say in the next 11 weeks when I am only going to continue to grow.
- Craving mac and cheese, fruit and almond milk. Pretty much the same stuff I craved when pregnant with Turner.
- No new nursery or baby purchases this week but we will be making a run to Ikea soon to get some furniture for the nursery. I did paint Turner's big boy room this weekend. Once we move him to his new room, we will be able to really get things done in the nursery.

Bump Day Baby #2 - Week 28
- Baby is the size of an eggplant
- Good to know that the lungs of our baby are now mature enough that if born right now, it has a pretty good change of surviving (with help from medical technology).
- Weight gain...I don't believe my home scale because it fluctuates so much so I'll wait until doc appt next week.
- Still no stretch marks and I only use lotion on a daily basis
- Still feeling braxton hicks periodically
- Forgot to mention last week...but passed my glucose test. I did it the fasting way because I didn't want to drink that stuff. After reading this article I asked about other options. Apparently there is a 'fasting' option and my doctor was OK with me doing that. Appt was right at 7 am so the fasting happened while sleeping :)
- Still feeling lots of movement and I love it. Tate feels it a lot now also. Turner...well he doesn't sit still long enough to feel the baby move
- Picked out a few girl clothes just in case. It was weird having pink clothes in the house. We will see if they even get used.
- I plan to make my own faux fur rug for the nursery. Bought some material/fabric from Joann's with 60% off coupon so this rug is going to be dirt cheap...I'm talking less than $40 probably which is un-heard of for a faux fur 5x7 rug.
- My mom is coming this weekend and I am so excited. We have plans to paint Turner's new room and cross other things off our list.
- Still feeling great even though I am in my 3rd trimester. I feel very unprepared since we only have 12 weeks left...but I'm not putting too much pressure on myself as I know regardless...this baby will be safe and have a roof over his or her head.
