Bump Day Baby #2 - Week 27

  • Baby is the size of a rutabaga
  • Baby's lungs are going through major development
  • Total weight gain is 17 lbs according to home scale
  • The braxton hicks have subsided. Felt them a lot at my sister's wedding reception last weekend as I was a dancing machine. Rested after I was feeling them on dance floor.
  • No stretch marks and wedding rings still fit
  • Still working out M-Th mornings. Do some lifting and then hit up some cardio for about 10 minutes.
  • I feel like I jinxed myself int he sleep department after mentioned it last week how great it is. This past week I have been waking up at random times throughout night. I don't like it one bit.
  • Busy next 9 weeks in our household. Turner started swimming lessons again last night and I had to get in water with him since Tate had to work. It def was a workout for me with this big belly and trying to hold on to him.Tate will be coming to every one after this week, thank gosh. Swimming lessons last 7 weeks and tomorrow evening Tate and I start leading the Dave Ramsey FPU class at our church. I am so excited. That runs 9 weeks.
  • Still feeling lots of movement.
  • Finally realized I am carrying different this time around than with Turner. With Turner my belly was nice and rounded and started right below my boobs..this one, just my stomach sticks straight out. No nice rounding that starts at my boobs. Hence the reason my hand is where it is...if I don't wear maternity clothes, it looks weird.
  • Speaking of maternity clothes, thank gosh for the nicer weather. Been getting to wear my dresses and maxi skirts. whooohoooo.
  • Starting to feel like it's a girl. I am going consignment shopping this weekend and plan to pick up some girl stuff just in case.
  • I can't believe I am already 27 weeks and this baby will be here before we know it. It has flown by.
  • Turner still doesn't really understand whats going on...but when we ask him to kiss the baby, he'll give my tummy a kiss. He also has a lil' monkey and a big monkey he refers to as mama and the baby. It's adorable. He's talking more and more and it's absolutely a blast listening to him.

Bump Day Baby #2 - Week 26

  • Baby is the size of a head of lettuce
  • Baby is soaking up my antibodies, eyes are forming and lashes are growing!
  • Had a doctor appointment yesterday. I have gained 15 lbs, baby had a heart rate of 160 and I am measuring a week early (27 weeks)
  • Measuring a week early makes total sense because I feel much larger this time around than I did with Turner and EVERYONE and their mom wants to point it out. A few stories...
    • Lady checking me in @ gym asked if I was due any day now...
    • Waitress at tax season party thought I was about to pop
    • Lady at church thought I was carrying multiple babies since I am not due until July but this large
  • I feel like I should wear a shirt that says...'things to NOT say to a pregnant woman'. I am not surprised to hear comments from people that have never been pregnant, but when someone says something about my size that has experience pregnancy...I often think 'would you like to hear that when you were pregnant'? I understand I am growing a human and the whole point is to get larger, but we don't need to point out the obvious or even comment about how HUGE I am especially when I have 14 weeks left (some of the above comments were made a few weeks ago...so that's nice)!
  • I felt my first braxton hicks last night. While doing dishes, my stomach cramped up and got SUPER tight.
  • Sleep is not an issue for me at all. I fall asleep so fast, wake up refreshed without waking at all during the night. I am so grateful for this!
  • Back into my morning gym routine and I love it! Can't wait for the weather to stay warm so our evenings consist of walks and park fun.
  • We finished painting the foyer this past Sunday. We are not 100% on the color..but we will put some decor and see if it blends well with everything.
  • Still can't manage to eat any veggies besides cold carrots and celery. When I do eat them, it's like I am choking them down.
  • Getting more difficult to bend over and do things.
  • Made another baby purchase...a new diaper bag. The Coach one I have is not very roomy and definitely would not fit items for 2 kids. When you cloth diaper, you need more room for this bulky diapers. I found this one at Buy Buy Baby. Purchased it with a 20% off coupon. Brought it home to see if everything in my current diaper bag would fit...it does and there is so much more room for more so that is a keeper then!

  • We've started to get Turner's new room ready. We think we will move him down that at his 2nd birthday in early June. Nothing will change about his room, just location. Still same furniture (minus glider) and decor since when I decorated nursery I made it so it grow with him.
  • Pretty excited about my sister's at home wedding reception this weekend. Excited to spend time with family and friends.

Dave Ramsey's FPU

To say I am excited about this is an understatement. I am beyond excitement to FINALLY be leading Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University at my church.

Dave's method has worked for us and I'm excited to lead others with it in helping them. The class starts next week and even though I am excited, I am also nervous. I'm not into public speaking, but I know when it's something I am so passionate about and have great knowledge on, I won't be as nervous.

Here is a little bit about the class...

The class starts April 30th from 6:30-8 pm and will run for 9 weeks. If anyone in the Twin Cities is interested in attending the course, let me know. Here is also the direct link to sign up --> SIGN UP HERE

If the time I am leading the course or location doesn't work for you, you can go to Dave's website to find a class in your area that better suites your needs.

Get excited with me as I help other families become debt free and take control of their money!!!

Bump Day Baby #2 - Week 25

  • Baby is the size of cauliflower.
  • Baby is learning to distinguish from side up from upside down.
  • Feeling FABULOUS...today is the end of tax season!!! More time with family, back to a social life and getting ready for this baby!
  • Total weight gain...not sure. Don't care really either! ha
  • So glad the weather is warming so I can wear maxi skirts and maternity dresses I already own. I will probably need to buy a few more pairs of work pants to add to the rotation.
  • Will be able to hit up the gym more now that tax season has ended. I'll resume my early mornings since I love to get it out of the way.
  • Still no stretch marks, rings still fit and I still get a full nights sleep.
  • Getting cramps in my calves...which hurt so bad! It usually happens in the middle of the night! I also am finding myself to not have to shave my legs...at all. My hair is pretty thin the way it is but I have no hair growth, which makes me happy. Same thing happened when I was pregnant with Turner.
  • Painted the entry way last weekend with my Mom's assistance. She was so excited to paint...I was all for it. Just one more wall to paint and then we can start with the downstairs office which is going to become Turner's new room.
  • Baby is moving around so much and I love it. Tate has now seen baby move vs just feeling it.
  • Gender is still unknown until the baby is born.
  • No new nursery purchases this week...but I pretty much has it all planned out and know what needs to be bought. I'm taking a trip to Ikea tomorrow to buy a few things for house and will possibly check other items off my list for nursery if I see what we need.

Bump Day Baby #2 - Week 24

  • Baby is the size of a cantaloupe
  • Baby's skin is becoming more opaque as the fat starts to pack on
  • Feeling great especially since tax season ends in ONE WEEK :)
  • Total weight gain = 12 lbs (home scale)
  • Still rockin' non maternity and maternity clothes. Plan to buy a few more work pants as I only have 2 pairs of maternity for work...need more.
  • No stretch marks.
  • Starting to think it's a girl dancing around there...but I'll probably change my mind in a month on what I think it is...I really don't have a 'feeling' this time like I did with Turner.
  • Can't wait to start home projects again. My mom will  be up this weekend to help out and so we plan to paint the entry way which I am so excited about...
  • Staying active by lifting and walking at the gym. My hip has been bothering me so I will rest the legs for a bit and just stick to upper body until I feel that heal.
  • Food cravings = anything sweet and carbs. Love bread, peanut butter and fruit! Ice cream is being bought and eaten in record time at our house :)
  • Baby is moving like crazy these days. Tate asked the baby last night to kick while he felt it and the baby did...loved that the baby is already listening to daddy :)
  • No new nursery purchases this week, but possibly found a dresser on Craigslist that I will paint for the nursery.

Bump Day Baby #2 - Week 23

  • Baby is the size of a grapefruit
  • Baby's face is fully formed, except all the fat
  • Had a doctors appointment yesterday...155 heart rate and measuring right on schedule
  • Total weight gain = 11 lbs
  • Mother nature should make up her mind on if it should be spring or winter still...I would like to break out my maternity dresses and not worry about pants and boots anymore.
  • Still no stretch marks
  • I do have varicose veins that are starting to show up in my legs...,not pretty.
  • We won't know gender until July...and I have no clue. Going to prepare a little bit (buy a few items) if it's a girl and we have everything if it's a boy.
  • We officially decided that Turner will move to the downstairs room around his 2nd birthday. We will keep in his crib though. I have heard horror stories about going to a big bed too early. Turner currently sleeps AWESOME at night, goes to bed at 7:30 without problems and sleeps soundly all night. I do not want to mess with this at all so we plan to keep him in the crib for as long as we can. He also has never tried to climb out of crib...so we find no reason to change anything.
  • Bought a new baby monitor that was 50% off. We currently have the Angel Care Monitor for Turner...and love it. We got the same one except with video now. We plan to keep using Turner with him down in his room so we can hear if he needs anything.
  • I also bought a fun cubby to hang on wall in new nursery. I love purchasing things here and there for the new nursery. I can't wait to put it all together.
  • Still loving anything carb related. Forcing myself to each veggies to get some nutrition.
  • 2 weeks left of tax season...thank gosh!

A little comparison of 23 weeks with Turner and 23 weeks with this pregnancy. I happened to wear the same dress...so I thought a fun comparison shot was in order.
At first I thought I looked the same...but after examining it closer, I realized by belly sits lower this time around and sticks straight out more vs more rounded with Turner. I feel the same though...
