Reality TV obsession

I feel like reality TV has taken over our TV and I can't stop watching all the reality shows that I feel obsessed with. I have cut back on how many I watch..but of course the hubby still thinks I watch too much reality TV.

Can't get enough of them. Every show they have on...I watch. I don't know if I will ever get sick of watching their shows...but for right now, I DVR every new episode and watch it. Definitely a big guilty pleasure!

This show is all about train wrecks & I love it!! Season 2 of Teen Mom 2 just started. I watch both 1 and 2 and Tate can't stand that I watch this. He has never watched it but sometimes over hears the show while I am watching and says it sounds like a bunch of white trash people...well he is right! I just tell him it's going to make me a better mother since I am learning from all their mistakes...he doesn't buy it!!!!

This show makes me miss dance so much. I was on the dance team in high school and by no means were anywhere close to dancing like this (or even good for that matter), but this show just makes me want to take up dance classes to learn all the different types of dances. Also...the amazing shape their bodies are in from dancing. I really only watch this show if there is a 'star' on there that I want to see...otherwise I just watch it if nothing else is on.

I don't even think there are words to explain why I watch this show. I just laugh thinking about this show. I was against watching Jersey Shore when it first aired. Then Tate and I went to go visit a friend who was watching it and we both got sucked in immediately. I love Pauly D and Vinny...they are my fav!!!

Love this show. They are such a cute family and I love seeing the kiddos growing up. I love that they just had another baby and they already talk about wanting another!!! I love big families (but not as big as the Duggars). Big in my eyes is 4 kids..after that, it's considered huge :)

This show is so inspirational. I see all the stuff they do and it makes me mad when I complain about working out or exercising. The other night they had all the contestants run a marathon. A whole 26.2 miles...holy crap. I never in my wildest dreams think that I could do that...but these people who are still overweight and before this show had never really ever worked out...just did it. It gives me the inspiration and motivation to know that I can do one. I actually was thinking maybe I will do one...or a 1/2 marathon first to get my feet wet. We will see :)

What are you reality TV guilty pleasures?

30 Day Blog Challenge - Day 28

* A picture of you last year and now, how have you changed since then?

Last Year

September 2010

This Year

October 2011

I don't feel like I have changed much since last year. There is one major change though...I have a new last name and am a wife!!! I married the man of my dreams and I couldn't be happier! Can you see the wedding glow in the 'this year' picture?!?!?

Pinterest Love

Pinterest has become a new obsession. It has takin my DIY ideas to a whole new level. I love everything I find. I love that it not only has 'projects' or crafts, but also recipes, fitness tips and quotes.

Here are pins from each of my boards that I thought I would share with you.

I plan to make this very soon. I am in the middle of distressing a piece of furniture and I have a door that I don't plan on putting back on after I finish. I now have use for it...can't wait to show you all :)

I plan to print this and put in a 8x10 frame and display in my home. I think it's so cute and perfect for the holiday season.

I plan to do this to organize our bills and calendar for when bills are due. I love this idea. Right now, our office looks like a bomb went off in it. Wedding stuff everywhere...but I have it on my goal list to organize and clean it up...so I will for sure be posting a before and after pictures of that because I will be so excited when I actually have an office space at home!

This is something that I made even before pinterest was introduced to me...but then I found it on there and had to share with all you. It is so easy to make and so yummy!!!

When I don't have time to hit up the gym (or just don't feel like) I pull up some different fitness home workouts on pinterest. This one I have done a few times in the morning before getting ready. Definitely gets my heart rate up there and I burn a good 100+ calories.

I saved the best for last :) I am so in love with this nursery!!! I so want to do this for our FUTURE children (no I am not pregnant). I love these colors scheme and the quote on the wall...makes my heart melt. I always sing that song to Tate (& Mya), cheesy...I know. I knew instantly when I saw this picture that this would be my inspiration for the nursery for our first born.

What is your pinterest love?

30 Day Blog Challenge - Day 27

* Why are you doing this 30 day challenge

I decided to do this blog challenge to make myself post everday...and I have. I was slacking before doing this challenge (mainly because I was planning a wedding). I am glad I decided to do this challenge so my readers (whoever you are out there) would get to know me a bit better and whomever comes along at a later date can check these out.

After this blog challenge is complete...I plan to still blog everday Monday through Friday. I have fun doing this and I hope to continue to get creative ideas to blog about.

Mason Jar Soap Dispenser

Growing up, my mom loved to do canning. We had a garden and she loved to grow vegetables and then can them for future use. We would also make applesauce and can that. We always had loads of mason jars. Big, small, medium...every size you can think of.

As a kid, I never thought that a mason jar was cool. Now...I love them and can think of so many things I can do with them. I am not a caner...but I am a DIY crafter and mason jars come in very handy for that. If you remember on a previous post, I took mason jars and decorated into cute centerpieces.

Awhile back, I decided to make a mason jar into a soap dispenser. I pretty much had everything I needed for this project (only had to buy soap dispenser pump) so I knew this project would be cheap and easy.

First thing I did was drill a hole in the top of my lid. This was the hardest part of it. I am not the greatest with power tools, so this part was challenging because I kept having to drill to get the hole big enough for the soap pump to fit.

[Please excuse the rusty residue]

After I drilled a hole big enough, I then spray painted the top lid. It was gold. I had spray paint left over from when I took our gold chandelier to a nice bronze.

After the paint dried, I put all the pieces together. The hole should not be too big that the pump moves around a lot. Mine fits nice and snug and takes some twisting and turning to get out if need be (no need to ever take out...I just did for pictures). I had to cut the soap pump shorter to fit into the jar. I did that and then put it all together. I then had a cute soap dispenser. I love how it turned out. This is a very easy project that anyone can do you can do if you know how to use a power drill :)

Mason Jar = FREE (Mom gives me many for hot cocoa mix or other items...I love it)
Spray Paint = already had
Soap = already had (I have a huge jug to refill our soap dispenser in our bathrooms)
Soap pump = $4.99 (Bought actual soap from Home Goods because I liked the pump. I am not sure if they actually just sell pumps anywhere..so I bought a disposable soap dispenser and used that.)

30 Day Blog Challenge - Day 26

* What you think about your friends

I think I am so blessed with amazing friends. I wish I had a picture of ALL my friends because that would be framed on my wall and never taken down.

Throughout the years, I have learned many things about friends. One thing I always say is it's not the quantity of friends it's the quality of friends. I am not one that has sooo many friends...I feel like I have a good select quality friends. Friends that are there to listen, a shoulder to cry on, a laugh to share and a memory to keep forever.

Here are a load of pictures of my friends and I...ENJOY :)

Vacuum Love

I think that you are an official 'adult' when you get excited about getting households items or when you would rather spend your money on those household items instead of a new outfit. We recently got married so we were very blessed with many gifts of household items and I have never been so excited about these things.

Today's post is dedicated to our new vacuum.

I present to you...the Dy.son DC41 Animal vacuum. OMG...I am so in love with thing. We had registered for it. We did not expect anybody to get this for us, but we knew that anything remaining on our registries we could get a discount on. So we went back with our discount card after the wedding and purchased this beauty...and used gift cards towards it.

This wonderful device has taken vacuuming to a whole new level. I love vacuuming with this thing. The ball makes getting around things so easy. I would definitely recommend this vacuum to anybody and everybody. I am sure any Dy.son is amazing...but this one...takes the cake for me :)

Here is our vacuum before:

$40 cheapo from Wally world

Vacuum after:

Definitely an upgrade :)
