If you need a good laugh...

So this video has been floating around and I usually don't watch the million videos that people share on FB. But for some reason I decided to watch this one and I am so glad I did. I did 'share' it on FB and now am sharing with all of you.

I've watched it over 5 times now, made everyone @ work watch it and told my family to watch it...laughing until my belly hurts each time!

Happy Friday everyone!!!!

SPD: No Bake Energy Balls

We attended a Super Bowl party where someone brought these 'No Bake Energy Balls'. I tried one and then proceeded to eat about 5 of them. I felt bad after thinking I ate a few too many 'sweets'. After getting home and finding them on pinterest, I learned that it did not contain sugar as one of the ingredients. This recipe was 'Tate' approved :)

Source: snhblog.com via Bridget on Pinterest

Turns out that I pinned it from the blog that hosts this awesome link up!!!
So I finally bought the ingredients and made them. They were SUPER delicious and easy to make.

Ingredients
1/2 cup oats
1/2 cup coconut flakes
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup ground flax seed
1/2 cup nut butter (almond, peanut or cashew butter)
1/3 cup honey

Mix all ingredients together in bowl

After you mix the ingredients together, refrigerate for 30 minutes. After chilling for 30 minutes, make into balls by either rolling or using an ice cream scoop.

Before enjoying, chill for another 30-60 minutes.

We have enjoyed them as a nice snack. I feel like I am eating cookie dough.

Buy the ingredients, make them and enjoy!!!!

Week 28

Baby W this week…
-Baby's lungs are mature enough now that if born right now, he would have a pretty good chance of surviving.
-His skin is still pretty wrinkly, but will smooth out as fat continues to deposit.

Size of the baby?
Baby is the size of an eggplant! He's getting soooo big :)

Total Weight Gain/Loss?
Just had my 28 week appt and I am up 19lbs! Doctor is happy, I feel great...all is good with whatever number comes up :)

Maternity Clothes?
Most of my non maternity clothes are not fitting anymore. I have very limited wardrobe now when it comes to work clothes. I feel like I wear the same thing every 2 weeks. I try to switch it up here and there.

Stretch Marks?
28 weeks down with none and only 12 more to go!!!

Best Moments?
I have officially felt the hiccups and I LOVE THEM! Had my 28 week doctor appt and I loved that I passed the glucose test, my iron is in the standard range and I heard his heartbeat again! I am also measuring right on point now.

Movement?
He loves to move alot and I don't mind it one bit! He is already head down the doctor says and I hope he stays that way.

Food Cravings?
Still mac & cheese and milk. I am really loving fruit that is full of juice. Grapefruit, pineapple, etc. So yummy!!!!

Anything making you queasy or sick?
Nothing really.

What I miss?
Being able to bend over...that is almost impossible now.

Nausea/Vomiting?
None

Symptoms?
Still getting bloody noses. My sense of smell has really picked up. I frequent that bathroom a lot more now as I feel he is laying on my bladder all day!

Labor Signs?
Getting closer to this actually happening, which is scary to me! Let's hope I don't feel any signs for another 10+ weeks.

Gender?
BOY

Belly Button In or Out?
It's out!!!

Wedding Rings On or Off?
So on...and not even getting close to being tight.

Sleep?
Still getting a nice solid 7 hours of sleep without having to wake up to pee! I feel very lucky!!!

What I am looking forward to?
So much is happening in the next 4 weeks. In-laws visiting, baby showers, tax season ending, baby classes, etc. It will be a very busy next 4 weeks and I am so excited :)

Week 27

Baby W this week…
-baby's lungs are going through some major developments these days. Combine this with the opening of his previously plugged nostrils, he is now able to practive inhaling and exhaling.

Size of the baby?
Baby W is the size a rutabaga. Doesn't seem very big to me but then again, I don't think I have ever seen a rutabaga in real life! ha

Total Weight Gain/Loss?
+15lbs @ my 24 week appt. If the scale is right @ the gym, then I've gained 3-4 pounds since my 24 week appt.

Maternity Clothes?
Pulled out a few of my summer dresses that are 'flowy' and I have been wearing them with leggings and a 'over top' since they are a tank dress.

Stretch Marks?
zero

Best Moments?
Our lil' guy really likes music. As I was getting ready to go out last Saturday, I put some music on my phone and set it on the counter (which is @ my belly height). He started just jammin' away in there. He was also jammin' while we were out on Saturday night. I loved it!!!

Movement?
He is a moving machine in there. I swear it's about every 2 hours now that I feel him.

Food Cravings?
Anything not healthy sounds goods but I am forcing myself to eat some healthy items!

Anything making you queasy or sick?
Raw meat!

What I miss?
MY LIFE! This has nothing to do with being pregnant and everything to do with my profession. Tax season is almost over and I CAN NOT WAIT! I am so over the long hours and wish I had time during the week to get his room ready and prep other things. My Bestie & sister are hosting my baby shower @ my house and there are things I want to get done before that happens.

Nausea/Vomiting?
None

Symptoms?
I read I could start to feel 'braxton hicks' contractions by now and I am not sure if it's exactly what I am feeling but I feel something. I get pains here and there and I can definitely tell that my hips are changing or moving. I wore heels last Saturday when we went out and that will be the last time that will happen. I paid for it on Sunday.

Labor Signs?
Too early for me but I do know that if he came now, his rate of survival is very great. That is great to know.

Gender?
BOY

Belly Button In or Out?
It's officially out and you can tell when I wear tight clothes...

Wedding Rings On or Off?
So on...and not even getting close to being tight.

Sleep?
No cramps in my legs in the last week which is great. Still sleeping through the night.

What I am looking forward to?
I am looking forward to my doctors appointment next week. I am anxious because I have the gestational diabetes test and am curious how that will turn out. I am also curious how big my belly measures. I tried measuring myself and I am pretty sure I did it wrong based on the number that came out. I feel HUGE and am wondering if I am still measuring big.

Weekends of firsts and lasts

This weekend was full of first...and some lasts! Let's just get started :)
Friday night was cuddle time with my lil' family! Tate and I enjoyed a few episodes of Modern Family before hitting the sack early since we both had to work early in the morning.
Mya loves cuddle time with us!

After work on Saturday, a nap was definitely in order since Tate's best friend was in town to celebrate his 30th birthday, which meant a night out!

After getting ready, I went to go put on my wedding ring and it wasn't where I left it. I yelled to Tate to ask where he hid it since he ALWAYS takes it and hides it from me when I leave it someplace besides the box. He said he didn't do anything with it and that's when I panicked. I have NEVER lost my ring and I knew I had left it on top of the dresser. After being on my hands and knees looking on the floor and under everything, I still couldn't find it. I then started to question whether I really took it off before my nap and set it on top of the dresser. I wondered if I left @ work since I take it off to put lotion on during the day and maybe I forgot to put it back on. Tate was getting frustrated because we were running late. I then told myself it must be @ work and told Tate we had to stop there on our way to dinner so I could check. As we were heading there, I knew it probably wasn't and kept saying I put it on top of the dresser. I then thought he went into the dresser to get a shirt to wear and that my ring probably fell in the drawer. Tate then told me he did go in the dresser twice and so that could be the case. We still stopped @ my work and of course...it wasn't 'there. Fast forward when we got home that night...sure enough it was in his dresser drawer. I HATE not wearing my ring, especially when going out in public and being pregnant. Glad it's found and I hope it NEVER goes missing again.

We met up with the birthday boy for dinner @ Crave. Tate and I split the veggie sushi platter and a salmon dinner. It was super delicious!

Singing to the birthday boy :)

After dinner, we went to Seven where a booth was reserved for us. I thought that going out wouldn't be bad as long as I had a nice place to sit and hide from everyone else @ the bar. It worked...except when I had to use the restroom which was on the other side of the bar. It required walking through the dance floor. Talk about AWKWARD!  Seriously...first time hitting up a bar pregnant and definitely the last. I just felt so uncomfortable and felt like everyone was starring!

It was worth it to see how excited Tate was to celebrate his best friends 30th with him!

My love!

We didn't get home and to bed until a bit after 3. Talk about TIRED! I woke up @ 8:45 and was frustrated because I couldn't fall back asleep. I went out and watched some TV...then went back to bed @ 10 until 11:30. I hate spending most of my Sunday sleeping, but when it happens only about once every 3 months, I guess it's OK.

Tate had work on Sunday, so I spent the rest of the day doing laundry, painting a piece of furniture (I'll showcase once finished), catching up on Project Runway, taking Mya for a walk, making dinners for the week, cleaning, grocery store run and finishing up our budget for the month of March. Getting all this done made me feel like I had a productive Sunday!

It was a fun weekend, but also a exhausting one. First time losing my ring, and hopefully the last. First time going to a bar and staying until 2 am while pregnant and most definitely the last.

I hope you all had a great weekend! Linking up with Syndal & Sar!

Week 26

Baby W this week…
-Baby W is soaing up my antibodies, getting his immune system ready for life outside the womb.
-His eyes are forming and he will soon be practicing the blink...perfect for batting those freshly grown lashes that I hope he gets from his father (Tate has long lashes that I am super jealous of and LOVE).

Size of the baby?
Size of a head of lettuce! I have something the size of a head of lettuce in my belly...that just baffles me! I was looking at the the later weeks and what size he will become..oh boy, it amazes me what a women's body can do!

Total Weight Gain/Loss?
+15lbs @ my 24 week appt. If the scale is right @ the gym, then I've gained 2 pounds since my 24 week appt. We will know for sure the number though when I go to the doctor in 2 weeks for my 28 week appt.

Maternity Clothes?
Need to buy a few maternity tank tops because I keep wearing the ones I already have and they are starting to get too short and I don't want them to be stretched out.

Stretch Marks?
Still none! Thank gosh!

Best Moments?
My mom came up last weekend and we had fun time picking out fabric and shopping for the lil' guy! I know she is super excited about being a Grandma and loves picking out baby things with me!

Movement?
It's so fun to me that he is on a schedule in there. I feel him at the same times everyday. Morning when I wake up, around lunch time, dinner time and then again right when I am going to bed. Love <3

Food Cravings?
Ever since he was the size of a grapefruit, I have bought them and have been eating them daily. So yummy!!! Trying to eat healthier so that I know he is growing big and strong. Having fruit smoothies with spinach and eating the one veggie I can stand, cold carrots :)

Anything making you queasy or sick?
Raw meat!

What I miss?
Being able to do things myself. I don't want to hurt myself or him so I try to avoid lifting heavy things. I want to re-arrange our bedroom and the nursery but I have to wait to do it when Tate is around since I should be moving very heavy furniture.

Nausea/Vomiting?
None

Symptoms?
OMG...Tate was gone last weekend for State Wrestling and I woke up Friday morning @ 4:45 with cramps in BOTH of my calves. It hurt so bad and I could not get out of bed fast enough. I was of course all snuggled in with my pregnancy pillow and even though that things does wonders for sleeping, it for sure doesn't help with wanting to get out of bed fast. I was actually yelling it hurt so bad and scared Mya. Can't wait for those to go away.

Labor Signs?
Still too early for this!

Gender?
BOY

Belly Button In or Out?
Slowing making it's way out

Wedding Rings On or Off?
So on...and not even getting close to being tight.

Sleep?
Besides the occasional cramps in my calves @ the butt crack of dawn...sleeping like a baby ;)

What I am looking forward to?
I HAVE MY HUSBAND BACK :) He is officially done coaching wrestling and I am so excited! I know how much he loves it, but I love having him home. Even thought I am barely home during tax season, it will be FABULOUS to not have to worry about things getting done while I am work and know that Mya is not alone for long hours anymore! Only 7 more weeks until I am back to normal hours :)
